Bra almost done

Bra almost done

While I was at the John C. Campbell Folk School I worked on a new bra for the Way to Women's Wellness Foundation (wtww.org). This is the third year for this project and many women have had a great time making bras for this fundraiser from which the proceeds go directly to benefit either cancer research or women in treatment. This bra is called "Beautiful Seasons" and denotes the beauty of women as they age by making a comparison to the changing seasons and the changing leaves which people flock to see in certain areas of the country. The leave are actually different fabrics, fused to a backing and cut out individually and attached to the bra which has been covered with stretch velvet. The faces are made from fimo and finger painted with gold leaf paint. The beaded fringe was all done by hand while moonlighting after hours at John C. Campbell.
