Someone on one of the quilting listserves I am on mentioned this insane project where you write a 50 thousand word novel in the month of November. It is called National Novel Writing Month and it can be found at the site www.nanowrimo.org. I didn't finish by the midnight deadline but I did finish about an hour later. It had been dancing around my head for sometime so it was a great catharsis to get it out of there. Now that it is done. I am going to edit and expand it. There are several spinoffs of this site including one where you can edit the novel and other where you finish and unfinished novel. There is a January project and a July project.
