Each year a group of friends do a breast cancer quilt. This is my offering. I am so glad to be a member of this group.

- I have been sewing since I was 14 years old. I learned to make my own clothes in Home Economics class and made everything I wore until I was in my 30's and worked full time as a nurse. I still sewed but not quite as often as I also had two children. I also sewed for them. I was introduced to crazyquilting about 18 years ago by a friend in the meeting industry. (I am also an event planner.) I really became enamored of it and learned to do it by machine. Later I searched it up on the internet and found out the history of crazyquilting and took up the Victorian Art of it doing hand embroidery and embellishment. I had embroidered as a child so it was fun to awaken that forgotten skill. I also make some traditional quilts.
